so i added a couple airfields to the stock map….. and a couple islands…….. get your contraption of choice to go see them…………….
there is more work to be done on my end (more islands and airports) and updates will come as i complete major areas, for now i hibernate once more..........
please do let me know if you find any issues with the mod, be it lag or a hecked up 3d mesh or texture
important to note whenever first spawning in at a custom location set on any one of these airfields will result in you submerged in them, though the location teleport works after initial startup, i recommend setting approach locations and spawning at those if youre too lazy to swap right after spawning in

- fixed: runway textures at Skoomer & Luma were not full resolution
- fixed: a few inverted normals on one 3d object
0.72 Optimization Pass
- optimizated: shrunk poly count on most 3d objects' collider meshes, total of ~117k triangles removed from collision calculations
- fixed: a few missing faces at the skoomer airport terminal
- re-added: some casting light sources were added back (im in a litle box with my small?)
- HOTFIX: skypark airport had an incorrect collider mesh attached to the terminal building (you could phase right through the building). the collider for the small buildings at luma airport were instead applied because of an error while exporting a .obj file from blender under the wrong name

Yeah ok, I actually have downloaded that, and know some things about Unity already. And yes, I am modelling my own assets. The airport is actually done, but its the touch up stage that is taking so long.
@windshifter1 i got my ground textures from a sample pack that included some terrain tools, also terrain stamps helped a ton making islands. i suggest searching for yt videos about terrain tools and stuff since theres multiple (terrain painter script, expanded stamp tools, etc). if youre making your own airport objects like buildings or markings i would find photo reference for how they look (i also used minecraft to prototype a few building designs). i also like to explore google maps for airport design ideas since there are a lot of interesting layouts that are pretty cool
@BaconEggs Ah, makes sense. Would you be willing to give a little advice on my airport mod? I always feel as if something is missing, no matter what I do.
Also, I can never get the right ground textures. Any recommendations? Maybe I can share with you what I have right now and see how you like it.
