Ground Effect
Adds parts that increase lift when flying close to the ground or water. This took forever to tune.
How to use
The parts this mod adds can only be attached to wings. Make sure most of the parts are in front of the center of mass, otherwise it'll be hard to take off and land because you'll be flipping forward. If the ground effect is too strong with the big parts use smaller parts or less parts. If the ground effect is too weak use the big parts or more of the smaller ones.
If you use a biplane put the parts only on the bottom wing because it'll think any surface below it is the ground. The parts can be nudged into the wings because the particles emit slightly below the parts.
How it works
Each part launches invisible particles below it, The amount of particles is dependent on your speed. When those invisible particles hit a surface including another plane, They turn visible and launch back upwards. When they hit you they apply a small upward force. If the original invisible particle doesn't hit anything it despawns. The 3 differently sized parts emit different amounts of particles. I use an invisible surface at water level to allow ground effect to work over water but that means ships can't move.
Example builds
Pls try every one of these builds so you can get an idea of how the mod works and how to make things with
it. The parts can be nudged up into the wings but I intentionally didn't to show many parts there are.

SP2 would be so much cooler if Jundroo implemented features form mods users made
its causing an issue where the water has collision and ships like the beast get stuck
Works god in low end pc? my pc: I3 2120 8GB Intel HD Graphics
@PPLLAANNEE yeah i know we can replicate it, just thought we could have this work by like, flipping the part upside down. The way ive seen plenty of people do F1 ground effect aero used to be either just a pair of wings dead-center in the chassis angled like a normal rear wing (which is just silly), or a big flat bottom wing at like, -0.5°, which worked but made the car take off like a Mercedes CLR at any bump.
@Mage2IsTriggered ground effect for cars and ground effect for planes are actually different effects. for planes it increases lift and could only be replicated with this mod or hidden control surfaces or engines. for cars it increases downforce and could be replicated with downward facing wings or engines.
Does this work for cars?
Ground Effect for race cars works in the opposite way, sucking the car's floor into the ground. It has been used in the F1 from 1978 to 1982, in Indycar since forever basically, and now F1 uses it again
@Quackmint no problem 👍
@dekanii it worked thxxxxxxx
@Quackmint I guess you can do it manually?
You put the mod on the "Mods" folder on the game itself
@PPLLAANNEE yeaaaah thats what i did i let the game open by itself didnt work clicked the file downloaded didnt work opened the file with simpleplanes, like when u hover it on top of sp and it says open with sp thats what i did and didnt work :/
@Quackmint try clicking the file downloaded, it should start the game with the mod
why cant i download it? and before anyone says anything im on pc not android it downloads but when i open the game it dosent show up like other mods
@MVC true that
@IceCraftGaming The old versions of the joint venture are so simple that the game can be created in a couple of weeks. But the color adjuster, fuselages and more are the merit of the people who made these mods. what can I say, there are no textures in the game except for earth, sky and water. It's 2024 now! and in the trailer we saw textures that can be used on an airplane
Cant seem to run it here on android
I might sound annoying but it doesn’t do anything realistic/special. It looks like there is wheat under the planes
AMAYZEING
I would probably use this for my le man car, but mobile problems
ekranoplan gaming
Now people can make those boat plane things with less FT
@BaconEggs messing around with particles in unity is more fun.
you can do this with ft
@PPLLAANNEE normal thermals hang under clouds. You also have blue thermals, but that happens when there is little moisture in the air and there are no clouds.
@TheGliderGuy do thermals move around at all or are they mostly stationary
espero que este mod seja enplementado no sp2
