So apparently the little water wake effect that torpedoes have in the water is actually not directly tied to the water. Basically it appears when the torpedo hits the water, and is actually attached to the torpedo itself. As you can see in the video, I fired the torpedo while the bay doors were closed, so that it stayed inside the aircraft primed. This technically means that it’s “free falling” and when I hit the water, the torpedo recognized that as hitting the water, and as a result, it activated its wake effect. I managed to pull back out of the water, and the wake is still active, even though I’m not actually in the water! This can be used for smoke trails, or even custom wake trails for boats! Smoke trails probably isn’t as applicable though, as you’d have to touch the torpedo on the water, and doing that in a plane could be problematic to say the least.
Fun fact: some WWII torpedoes worked with a small engine that can leave smoke, which usually becomes the bubble trail. This engine was usualy started at launch, so torpedoes leaving a trail outside water isn´t THAT far fetched, Just look
@AWESOMENESS360, I like that. That looks like a cool little thing to use on like a jet or racing/stunt plane for a smoke trail effect. One could XML the torpedo so that it is smaller, and lighter. That might make some issues with a modded weapon of course.

@Mobileplayer1029 yep, we all know this.
Did you know you can now eddit the blast power?
@Mikey101234 yep
They also propel the craft and make the craft float
@blackvultureaeroespace cool!

tbf looks good, link?
It’s like aerobatic smoke!
Cool!

@BagelPlane nope, they’re just static as far as I know.
Are those turrets auto-aim?
This could be good for Firefighting Helicopters with water drop buckets!
For me, it can be a Fire fighter XD
