Some clarifications on the validity of my speedrun.
The use of the ‘skip’ button is technically allowed in both the any% category and the glitchless category. An any% speedrun requires just finishing the game (in the case of the SP tutorial, reaching 2,500 feet), and thus you don’t need to complete the unnecessary side quests or tasks (in this case, manually building the aircraft).
It’s also allowed in the glitchless category, as the ‘skip’ button is a feature purposefully implemented by the devs to serve the same purpose as its name.
However, the ‘skip’ button isn’t allowed in a 100% speedrun. A 100% speedrun involves completing every task, whether a main quest or a side quest. In the 100% speedrun, you would need to manually build the aircraft.
Also, the timer started as soon as the ‘start’ button for the tutorial was pressed.
Loading screen times were included in the final time of this speedrun. I’m not sure if they should be included or not, but just to be on the safe side I included them in my final time.
However, I’m just a speedrunner, I don’t make the rules, if you really do want to waste your time and debate over the validity of my speedrun, create some “SimplePlanes Speedrunning Council” or something, and hold some inquiry into my 1 in 7.5 trillion chance speedrun.
