    also on the reported numbers, you can normally bump it up by 5-7% as militaries don't like to report exact numbers on most aircraft. Like the F-22, on wiki, it says >35,000 lbf it could go all the way up to 37500 with a 7% bump which is fairly reasonable. doing some sourcing for this is important as well if you are looking for info on the F-35, F-22, or F-16 the best place to look is f-16.net a lot of pilots on there that can help you with specs where other places lack. For example the turn rate of the F-35 was originally 11 dps but the actual turn rate is reported to go up to 28 dps

    Another example is that the f-22 specs say it can only go mach 1.8 but by doing some research the f-22 is actually limited around 2-2.3 by the FCAS to not damage the RAM and air intakes and it could go up to 2.8 although it would have significant damage to the surface.

    Yeah, also when you are adjusting drag make sure you test the max speed of the jet without weapons attached. The maximum speed on jets is only done with clean stores.

    This is by no means a full fix for all of your performance issues. You'll have to edit drag (I decreased it a lot - probably too much on this) and weight if it's not quite accurate. But it's definitely a start and it's something everyone should know how to do to give their aircraft realistic acceleration so they aren't just little rockets.

    Windows 7 notepad tutorial moment

    Very useful video though, won't be as annoying to figure out a good powerMultiplier.

    How does this work for a multi engine plane @asteroidbook345

    @asteroidbook345 Not all the turboprops have a constant speed prop... to my knowledge

    @SilverStar Turbos usually just use prop pitch instead of throttle and have a constant speed prop but that's not super accurate all the time

    @asteroidbook345 Maybe... I'm building a turboprop again so I will try... it will surely have a custom FT propeller pitch so it will be cool I think. I will try to have the best mix with power to be as realistic as possible.

    @SilverStar nah you just sometimes have to tweak the power to get realistic acceleration sometimes

    @asteroidbook345 Yeah it's more difficult than jet engines. Maybe there is more drag edit to have a fairly close realism.

    @SilverStar it’s usually the same but it’s kind of weird because of the way the prop power is modeled. I think the value that’s shown in the default editor is correct. Props are kind of funky though

    Very useful, thank you !
    And what about propellers power ?

    Thrust != power, but good

    I've been using this for a while now, along with having drag-corrected airframes. Aircraft may seem to be heavy at first but you'll get used to it.

    @asteroidbook345 drag should be 1500 as a baseline idk, i reduced my cyclone's drag down to 900 to at least make it supercruise

    In-game thrust rating / real life thrust rating

    that's your powermultiplier
