A subsitute-standard issue assualt rifle used by the Paternian Armed Forces. Like the AR-series of rifles it was based off, it offered superior performance to the M18A2 currently in service in terms of reliability, accuracy, and firepower. In addition, it was easier to produce the M36 for smaller, less capable manufacturing facilities due to the use of CNC machining. In addition, it can easily be manufactured to scale with such equipment. This variant, adopted by the Paternian Armed Forces in limited numbers, features three sight options for its Picatinny rails; an M36-style rear sight, a holographic sight, and a 4x magnification optical sight with fixed backup iron sights above it. Other compatible accessories include a foregrip, grenade launcher, underbarrel shotgun, and a bayonet
