VL Salamointi II (Lightning II)
Finland's latest high performance contra-rotating propeller fighter, produced under the license from a branch office of Messerschmitt, Bayerische Flugzeugwerke, in a little known Germanic nation called Das Germanishe Weltreich. Produced in Das Germanishe Weltreich as the Bf-133I-2 (Unrelated to the RLM designation system,) Finland made a number of domestic adaptations to increase its fuel load, visibility and armament. Armed with a single LKK R.213(c) 2 cm Auto-Cannon and 4 MG131 13 mm Machine-Guns this high performance propeller driven fighter is considered one of the deadliest propeller driven aircraft ever to grace the skies.
With the introduction of the Salamointi II, the original Salamointi has been relegated to close air support and attack roles while others have been stripped down for parts. Their DB.605DC 2,000 HP engine being the same power plant but with a dramatically different and efficient cooling system as its replacement as Finland's primary daytime fighter aircraft.

@MasterManufacturingCo Thank you very much for the upvote! :-D
Thanks a lot, @LouisEP!
@OldColonel Yes sir! Thank you sir! -snaps too and delivers a crisp salute with a smile-
All right, lots of details.
@DragonAerotech
@MrVaultech This is the next-gen prop fighter for the RP, for Finland. They continue to rely on the old DB.605DC 2,000 HP engine driving contra-rotating props as they produce jet-like performance but do not guzzle fuel like they do. The engines are NOT modded but MIGHT be taking advantage of a bug. Comparing its performance to my original Salamointi I noticed that with the prop spinners facing backwards, something I tried on my twin engine birds released a week or so ago, they perform far better.
Thanks for your' support, @MrMecha!! :-D
@OldColonel Historical, as in using ideas from the period perhaps, but it is sadly a figment of the imaginings of TheOwlAce with my own concepts and features added. None the less, I thank you greatly for the compliment! I'll have to buckle down and release some good replicas of genuine warbirds. I've only done one to date, which was the Macchi Mc.205 Veltro. I tried to tackle a Fiat float plane at one point but I couldn't get the rear fuselage to look quite how I wanted it at the time. It was a long time ago though before I knew half of the tricks for builds in this game. Once this fictional Alternate WW2 Role-Play build is over I intend to start building on other projects based more in reality.
its smart! :) @DragonAerotech
@MasterMindIndustries Thanks, glad you liked it! ^_^ That's a supersonic prop-job without modded engines. XD
just did! flys pretty damn good! :D nice build. @DragonAerotech
Welcome @DragonAerotech
Thanks a lot, @PINK! ^_^
@DragonAerotech Hmm.
@TheOwlAce I had to say something to adapt it to the RP. XD
@DragonAerotech Um btw, we arnt a little known germanic nation, we ARE Germany, just without losing the war and staying stable throughout the 30's. We would be About the size of pre-ww1 Germany. with the same leadership.
@TheOwlAce Thanks for the upvote! Glad you like the adaptations. The concept is rather like a turbo-prop in that it takes in air through turbine blades, is ducted through cooling ducts and then released out the rear vent as heated air. The Mustang's own cooling system provided marginal speed increases in this fashion.
@TheOwlAce well yours meet my approval too
@MrSilverWolf It was drafted from my design, just saying.
Thanks for the upvote, @OldColonel!
Arigato~ @MikuKat!
@MrSilverWolf lol! ... BTW, I think you meant .. meet? :-O j/k
@DragonAerotech all of your builds meat my approval! :)
Thanks for the support @MasterMindIndustries, you should give her a flight test, she's mobile, agile and HOSTILE! XD
Thanks, @MrSilverWolf glad it met your' approval! :-D
Thank you, @ccooper!
