DwiAngkasaAeronautics present:

B-124 HellHound Fighter(?) Bomber

Background

The current bomber fleets, particularly the fast penetrator aircraft, appear inadequate to meet the demands of modern combat developments. This role is currently filled by the Daslan Delta, B-28T Jingo, and B-36D Atlan. However, recent assessments indicate that none of these aircraft are sufficient for the current era due to various limitations: the Daslan Delta is too small, the Jingo is too outdated, and the Atlan is too slow. As a result, there is a pressing need for a new type of supersonic bomber.
Of course, the rise of multirole fighters that could fill the role of supersonic bomber is available. The aircraft like Idris, Tomboy, or the stealth one like Galleon, could potentially fill the role. But still, there's a problem when loading the mentioned aircraft with 7000kg/15000lb of payload will reduce the mentioned aircraft's performance significantly
To address these issues, a fast, modern bomber—essentially a "bomb/missile truck"—that leverages speed and advanced technology is urgently needed. It is under these considerations that Project HellBolt was initiated.

Design and Description

The B-124 HellHound is a two-seat, supersonic, medium-to-long-range bomber designed to meet the demands of modern combat. The name HellHound itself was inspired by the similar variable-geometry fighter bomber Hellkeska. The aircraft's design is influenced by F-111 Aardvark, Su-24 Fencer, and Panavia Tornado, featuring variable-geometry wings to optimize performance across a wide range of speeds and mission profiles.
The HellHound is engineered to carry nearly every type of ordnance in our arsenal, making it a highly versatile platform. It is capable of operating effectively at both high and low altitudes, with a built-in terrain-following system to hug the ground at an altitude of 70 meters. Its advanced aerodynamics, combined with a powerful engine, enable the aircraft to achieve supercruise in certain loadouts, further enhancing its operational flexibility and survivability.

Trim: Trim
VTOL down: Flap
F.probe Switch: Fuel Probe (middle panel)

Terain Follower:
- Fly at altitude of 200m / 656 ft above ground (AltitudeAgl<200)
- Press Red TFR button (located in middle control panel, behind TRIM lever)
- If the TFR button already clicked and AltitudeAgl<200m, yellow light beside TFR button will turned on, signaling the aircraft will automatically follow terrain

TFR button Location

To activate SINTREX Targetting Pod:
- AG6
- Switch to "SINTREX Targetting Pod" camera
- Select to any target
- Scroll up to zoom
The camera will follow the target and also could missile locking

Note

  • Feel free to take the missile
  • I use high physics when building this so use the same setting
  • If your device cannot run this, try to set every quality setting to low
  • If you use laptop, I suggest charging ur laptop while running this aircraft. In my experience, my laptop could run higher part count smoother while being charged.

Author note

Finally another dormant, 2+ years old idea could be realized. My initial plan for this supersonic bomber concept looked more like BAC-TSR 2 with the wing tip swinging downward as it speedup. But given that it's still not the same as my initial idea, I might build another bomber with the original planned design as "failed competition" or whatevs. I also might build another geometry variable bomber but smaller for my other account - rookie123, but we gonna see that later.

anyway, enjoy.

@DwiAngkasaAeronautics make sure u are running performance mode as well via power/performance settings. plugging in doesn't automatically switch it from efficiency to performance mode unless you configure it as such.
