The L-1049 was Lockheed's response to the successful Douglas DC-6 airliner, first flying in 1950. The aircraft was also produced for both the United States Navy and Air Force as transport and AWACS aircraft.

411 BrianZCool, I made one too! P.S. The Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation doesn't have those things on the wingtip. Only the L-1049A has them. Also, the vertical stabilizers don't extend That Much down the horizontal stabilizers. But nice aircraft. Also, can you rate my L-1049? Just click on my username and click the L-104910.1 years ago
