The Northrop F-20 Tigershark (initially F-5G) was a privately financed light fighter, designed and built by Northrop. Its development began in 1975 as a further evolution of Northrop's F-5E Tiger II, featuring a new engine that greatly improved overall performance, and a modern avionics suite including a powerful and flexible radar. Compared with the F-5E, the F-20 was much faster, gained beyond-visual-range air-to-air capability, and had a full suite of air-to-ground modes capable of firing most U.S. weapons. With these improved capabilities, the F-20 became competitive with contemporary fighter designs such as the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon, but was much less expensive to purchase and operate.
Much of the F-20's development was carried out under a US Department of Defense (DoD) project called "FX". FX sought to develop fighters that would be capable in combat with the latest Soviet aircraft, but excluding sensitive front-line technologies used by the United States Air Force's own aircraft. FX was a product of the Carter administration's military export policies, which aimed to provide foreign nations with high quality equipment without the risk of US front-line technology falling into Soviet hands. Northrop had high hopes for the F-20 in the international market, but policy changes following Ronald Reagan's election meant the F-20 had to compete for sales against aircraft like the F-16, the USAF's latest fighter design. The development program was abandoned in 1986 after three prototypes had been built and a fourth partially completed.

@Texasfam04 Same here.. I need more inspiration, something i havent done yet..
i actually tinkered with this plane a few weeks back starting to tweak it but the design is odd, it does weird stuff that my other fictional planes have never done. like pitching, it had a bouncy pitch. oh well@MakeshiftPlanes
TY bud, i intended to redo some stuff but with the holidays it didnt work out. i am in a simple planes funk and may take a break for a bit. i have to kinda feel the itch to build and im not feeling it at the moment. :-( @MakeshiftPlanes
Close combat: about 10 seconds in the F-20 starts out-turning the Hyena but soon after it stalls out into a mountain! Hyana is victorious!
Medium range: The Hyena quickly gets in position to lock on to the F-20 and it does, but due to it only having close range missiles/guardians it loses lock after being fired, the F-20 tigershark in the meanwhile has gotten itself away, but the Hyena is up for eating a tiger... The tiger tries to out-think the Hyena by going vertical.. Soon after that, the Tiger is falling out of the skies again... It seems to have lost allready.. The hyena zoofs past its stalling prey... The tiger has gotten control again.. They are about to enter a downwards vertical scissors.. At only 6000 Feet! The tiger recovers from the dive the first and almost locks a missile on the hyena.. but it overshoots.. it turns into a negative immelman in hope to finish the Hyena, the hyena freaks out and plummets into the water... soon after the tiger follows... None survived but the tiger is victorious!
Long range: Above wright airport at a distance of 12 miles they spot eachother they are at 10 Thousand feet! the hyena is the first to get on target.. At 10 miles away, but it only has missiles capable of shooting 5 Miles far... This is probably going to give the Tigershark the advantage... 8.5 Thousand feet away : the tiger has gained LOCK onto the Hyena.. the Tiger also has the advantage of flares.. this is probably going to be a victory for the tiger.. 3 miles away BOTH SIDES SHOOT A MISSILE AT EACHOTHER! The hyena loses lock, since the Tiger had flares... while it tries to gain lock again the tiger's missile is still on its way, the hyena opens fire of its guns.. but its too late! The fight ends at 1.5 Miles when the Hyena is shot down by an Guardian.. The tiger heads home, ready to celebrate another victory! the hyena ends at the same position of the stalker, and the Tiger remains 5/5th/1st in fighting

Detail: i think the way it looks is WAY better than it flies 4/5 (I think you kinda forgot to paint the missiles)
Handling : 2/5 (2 instead of 1 due to the Puchachev cobra's you pull in a second) XD

Effectiveness in Combat : Round one/Close range vs F-20: the F-20 instantly entered a stall and fell in the ocean, Stalker was victorious (and flew in a mountain afterwards). Round 2/Medium range : It took a while for the F-20 to get on target and start the head on, The stalker, before that the F-20 could gain lock started opening fire, It missed all shots and soon after the F-20 was locking on, they now are at 1KM the F-20 AI in hope fires a medium range missile at 700 Meters distance... It hits the stalker right in the cockpit and it explodes, (soon after the stalkers' bombs detonate and the F-20 was destroyed by the explosion.) F-20 was victorious. Round 3/ Long range : Starting at 11Miles the Tiger soon get lock on but it keeps losing track every time, 3.5 Miles 2 missiles where fired (unidentified) the first one ZOOMS right past the canopy the second one hits the target. F-20 is victorious (overall the F-20 won on missile ranges but seemed to fail at a shorter range) so far the stalker is 4/5 points and the F-20 5/5 Points!

this thing peforms really poorly, i was really trying to make it look exactly like the pics online amd in the process it doesnt fly very well. if its ok with you i may upload a replacement with some fixes. @MakeshiftPlanes
