Le Bristol Type 167 Brabazon était un long-courrier à hélices conçu par Bristol Aeroplane Company pour les vols transatlantiques
reliant le Royaume-Uni et les États-Uni .Le prototype effectua ses vols d'essai en 1949, mais fut un échec commercial, car les
compagnies aériennes le trouvaient trop massif et trop cher. Un seul prototype a été construit et utilisé , on le démonta finalement
en 1953, en même temps que les éléments d'un second prototype inachevé, le Brabazon I Mk.II .

The Bristol Type 167 Brabazon was a long-haul propeller designed by Bristol Airplane Company for transatlantic flights
connecting the United Kingdom and the United States. The prototype made its test flights in 1949, but was a commercial failure because
airlines found it too massive and too expensive. Only one prototype was built and used, it was finally dismantled
in 1953, at the same time as the elements of a second unfinished prototype, the Brabazon I Mk.II.
