The Viggen is notable for its distinctive delta wing design and canard foreplanes, which contributed to its agility and performance. It was used for a variety of roles, including air superiority, ground attack, and reconnaissance. The aircraft was equipped with a variable-geometry air intake and was powered by a single Volvo RM8 engine. It served with the Swedish Air Force until it was retired in the early 2000s, succeeded by the Saab JAS 39 Gripen. USE TRIM FOR FLIGHT STABILITY
