ISLANDexpress flight 703 was a regular flight from Yeager airport to Wright airport. On 21st August 2010 the EMB-120 reported a failure of right landing gear just 7 minutes before landing. The aircraft did a holding circle for 46 minutes and tried to land. At landing the right wing that was without gear hitted ground and the plane rolled on right side, broke to two pieces and the front piece skidded down to water. Firefighters arrived immediately and started saving survivors from both pieces of wreckage. One passenger died later in hospital. Cause was crash landing due to gear failure caused by retracting mechanism cracking.
