Carreidas 160
This is a replica Carreidas 160, a fictional supersonic private jet from The Adventures of Tintin. It is full scale, and features full functionality. It is a swing-wing design with three powerful engines facilitating supersonic flight at high altitude. Above 35000 ft, the 160 will exceed 1000 mph. It also has lights, flaps, airbrakes, and custom main landing gear.
Operation is as follows:
AG 1 will enable the wing sweep, which is controlled by VTOL. Slide it down, NEVER up.
AG 2 unlocks the flap surfaces, which are controlled by VTOL, however they are not aerodynamically useful.
AG 3 turns on the lights, and AG 4 turns on the landing lamps.
Overall, the plane is very responsive and easy to fly. However, there is a tendency for the plane to rip itself apart if you aggressively pitch at supersonic speed with the wings straight. But a real plane would do that too, so...
Anyway, this is a must-see for any Tintin fans.

Hehehe! All the Tintin fans love this one.
Ha ha I remember this from that Tin Tin comic! This jet is so epic. I loved the part where Captain Haddock saw the wings folding and he thought they were falling off. XD

@AwesomeDesign717 ... i ignored this fact . but i just guessed that if you had access to this website the whole features would be available..
@Anshrew Yeah! It's a totally viable design too. It would work in real life.
I remember reading tintin and thinking it was the coolest plane @Sunnyskies
@AudioDud3 Thanks.
@ChiChiWerx @Anshrew @AwesomeDesign717 @Nick7777 @MAHADI @Treadmill103 @corsair013 @RAF1 Thanks all!
@BogdanX Great tip! Thanks for that.
Nice job, I was just looking at an old copy of Flight 174 that I had on my bookshelf and thinking about building one of these, but you beat me to it!
This is awesome; wish I had though of this
@Nick7777 Well, try doing a search in China.
Nice one by the way .. i can provide you infinite fuel cell (little xml trick to have it) for this one because such supersonic can be huge fuel consumer..
@AwesomeDesign717 a little search would have revealed you that i made this model one year ago
I've been waiting for one of these!!
awesome...
@Sunnyskies TINTIN ROCKS!
TBH Flight 714 is also settled in Indonesia, en-route to Australia and might be headed for Krakatoa island, in between the Java Island and Sumatera Island @Sunnyskies
Nooo! Blue blistering barnacles, you beat me to it! Flight 714 really is my favourite Tintin comic, and undoubtedly the strangest. Anyway, well done!
@JoddyFubuki788 Thanks.
Nice replica! :)
