Type 3 Medium Tank Chi-Nu
I present you the Japan Chi-Nu.
Introduction:
Type 3 Medium Tank was the Jap's last mass produced medium tank in WW2.
In 1944, when the Japanese were fighting with the Allies in South-East Asia, they found that their 47mm tank cannons could do nothing when facing the M4 Shermans, it was at that time did they realise that they were totally in the worst situation.
However, it was not easy for the Japan Army to deal with the crisis, for one reason, the sudden turn to the worst of battlefield had greatly lower their morale, for another reason, lack of resources made them unable to produce high-quality weapons, which means that the Type 3 Medium Tank was the product of compromise.
Although there were lots of problems, the japs managed to test the tank in Oct. 1944, and began mass-produced in December. 55(?) tanks were made in 1944, 111(?) were made in 1945 before Japan surrendered.
