MiG-25 (US Intelligence)

Auto Credit Based on TheMouse's Psychological warfare challenge [CLOSED]

This is my entry to this challenge because this terrorized the West for quite a while. When US intelligence saw this plane, they saw massive wings and 2 massive engines, which are tell-tale signs of a high maneuverability fighter according to the theories crafted by the fighter mafia. What makes the matter worse is that the Israeli air force detected Foxbat flying at ridiculous speeds, strengthening the fear of Foxbat even more. The US feared that they were facing a large fleet of advanced fighters that had advanced materials such as titanium and unrivaled avionics. The Foxbat may be beyond what the US air force can handle.

But in reality, the Foxbat was created as an interceptor to deal with XB-70. And because Titanium was too expensive, the plane was made of stainless steel. The wing needed to be that large to make Foxbat airworthy. The engine, although huge, had very low thrust-to-weight ratios. What makes the matter worse is that the engine will eat itself when flying at Mach 3.2. It is a shitbox that was mistaken to be an exotic. In other words, the Soviets unintentionally committed psychological warfare. It was not until the defection of Belenko that this unintentional psychological warfare was spoiled. However, this panic led to the F-15 which is one of the best fighter jets ever built.

This version is a rough replica of Mig-25 but with a twist. The empty weight of the plane is close to that of an F-15 (as estimated by US intelligence) which made it capable in dogfights. However, it still cannot outturn the F-15 but is agile enough to kill any F-4 easily. The missiles are large and clunky to aim but are very fast and have a large payload.

I originally planned to make it a shitpost-level build. But the custom missile forced me to increase the part count so launching the missile does not "destroy" the plane. The level of detail is getting closer to that of RD planes.

Hope you enjoy!
