FV Corp. 154MX1 Tech Demonstrator

The RNP logo in the thumbnail is slightly bigger than in the last post and now I’m sad :(

Background

The FV.Corp 154M13X1 (154, Model 13, experimental 1) was a one off tech demonstrator built as an example of how the FV.Corp 154 could be modernized for further deployments in the future. The 154X program consisted of 2 models, the 154MX1, and 154MX2, which were both built off the 154 Model 13 tank, and included many new technologies. These included a stabilized gun, something which had been wanted from the very start of the 154’s introduction, a new engine that came by default with the M13 model, a 20mm autocannon mounted on top of the turret for the commander to operate, and most noticeably, the ST/T-120X 120mm cannon, along with a new fire control system. Although it was decided not to go ahead with modernizing the FV.Corp 154 further, the 154MX1 and MX2 proved useful in helping design FV.Corps next main MBT.

Notes

  • Credit to SILVERPANZER once again for the horizontal stabilizer code (turret will turn to face heading 000 at start, operates normally after)
  • This is the final build I make based off the 154, staying true to the funni tank trio rule
  • uhhhh that’s it

Enjoy!

    @TemporaryReplacement the 120mm gun resembles like a Soviet/Russian 125mm 2A46

    @AircraftExperimental The main gun on this tank is a fictional 120mm gun, (ST/T-120X) although on some of my tanks there are examples of real weapons, like the M1919 being mounted as a coax on the original 154 model.

    @TRS051 The glass kind of acts like ERA, it gets destroyed if hit, but takes all the damage, protecting the tank. If the explosion is big enough, the entire tank will still be destroyed tho

    I want to ask. Can glass withstand an explosion?
