Part of my scaled WW2 series - All aircraft built to scale, with accurate weights, speeds and flight characteristics to the original.
The Tantei was a twin engined reconnaissance aircraft created for the Japanese forces that needed an aircraft fast enough to elude interception, and with a monstrously long endurance of 6 hours flying time. Armament was completely abandoned, and the fuselage was reduced to a tight, thin oval design. Only a spitfire with removed armaments and polished wings ever succeeded in catching a Tantei.
