Fictional Backstory
The S.E Industries and North American Aviation have a biggest collaboration to make an effective and cheap fighter just before the cold war, in the age of jets. The Mustang fuselage and a backswept wings was used, and has a powerplant of Sniper Motors VV-1 turbojet, which has an effective thrust. Also it has low operation costs and it only use 4 Guardian missile.

Damn I wish this was a real thing. Did you know that the FJ-1 Fury used wings almost like the P-51’s so it’s sinilar to your idea but just the similarities are in different areas
