Sea Can Challenge - Gantry (+remote Drone)
Transport the Sea Containers via land and sea! (Not really a gantry crane, but hey).
Pitch and Roll for forward/reverse/left/right.
AG1 and VTOL up for the forks.
AG2 and VTOL up for lift suspension.
AG3 and VTOL up to deploy and activate propellers.
AG7 to jettison buoys.
AG8 to deactivate pitch, roll, yaw on the Gantry.
Instructions:
1. Drive over the container.
2. AG1 on, VTOL up to pick up the Container.
3. AG2 on.
4. Drive to the water (PITCH and ROLL).
Note: Use reverse to slow down when descending steep hills as opposed to BRAKE.
5. Once in the water, AG3 on and full THROTTLE.
6. Heading around 015 degrees (the direction of Yeager). Use YAW to steer (can also use TRIM for course corrections.
Now the trip to Yeager takes a while, so there is a little drone you can fly around in while you are waiting.
Drone Ops (must deactivate Gantry):
Camera 1
Throttle 100% for hovering ops.
Pitch = forward / reverse
Roll = turn
Yaw left - thrust down.
Yaw right - thrust up.
AG4 for main engine.
AG5 for booster (fast forward).
1. AG1, AG2, AG3 and AG8 off (deactivated).
Note: you can still make course corrections of the Gantry via TRIM while all other controls are off.
2. AG4 to launch Drone.
3. Yaw right (thrust up) until clear of the gantry.
4. AG5 on, catch up to the gantry and throttle back to around 45 to 50% to match speed.
- You can fly forward and land on the carrier, and then return etc.
- When away from the Gantry keep an eye on the compass and make course corrections as needed.
Arriving at Yeager:
1. Head toward what Sub base. You are heading towards the path on the left of the Sub Base.
2. Deactivate the Drone.
3. AG3 and AG8 on.
4. Throttle back to 25%.
5. When approx. 50 metres from shore. VTOL to centre. AG3 off.
6. When on land, AG7 to jettison buoys.
7. Drive up the ramp (maybe zig-zag a little on the first slope).
8. Navigate to the hanger.
9. AG1 on and AG2 on to deliver the Container.
Mission Complete.
