'The Trench Run'
In Flanders Field the poppies blow,
Silence... silence... silence...
The troops emerge from the trench,
Machine guns rattle... machine guns rattle... machine guns rattle...
Squelching at the back was me,
Running... running... running...
I jump into the German trench,
Heart thumping ...heart thumping ... heart thumping...
GAS ! GAS ! GAS ! I head someone cry,
Gas... gas... gas...
Here I stand blinded in the eye,
Waiting... waiting... waiting...
I hear moans and I feel alone,
Moaning... moaning... moaning...
I hear someone say "Are you ok?" That's it,
I was saved...

@goutboy411 thanks
We had a whole hour silence mainly because we started being silent at 10 to 11 and was silent until ten past 12 @Pacman126
Wow good poetry and I'm almost crying to
@Spinnes yup
@Spinnes @Rwolf135 @Sunnyskies @CALVIN232 on Sunday I will make the Cenotaph! Hopefully it will look good.
@Spinnes what country are you from?
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
I remember them every time I put on my uniform. Every time I salute my flag. Every time I give myself, my strength, and my time in helping to defend my nation.
@Spinnes @CALVIN232 I wrote a poem. It's in the description.
@Spinnes Did you even have a 2 minute silence?
Yes we sure will
