Prowler Dropper
A new experiment combining my previous works Prowler, and Blastwave. This is a disposable transport platform designed to airdrop tanks. The tank is bolted to a cage, which in turn is mounted to the slender airframe. The landing gear is located on the feet of the cage, which also cleverly double as shock-absorbers for the airdrop.
To airdrop, fly to your desired landing site. Once ALMOST over your target, press AG1 to drop the cage. Do this at about 5 degrees pitch to mitigate tumbling.
DO NOT engage parachutes right away, instead wait a short while for airspeed to bleed off, then press AG2 to deploy parachutes. Once in the descent phase, ensure the landing gear is EXTENDED, or you might not survive the landing. Also, be wary of the now loose and out of control plane you just left behind. I once had it loop back and hit me. You'll fall at around 35 mph, so you should land unscathed.
Once on the ground, cut away the parachutes with AG2, and brake to a stop, then retract the landing gear so you are resting on the cage. Then press AG6 to break apart the cage, freeing the tank.
The tank can now be driven with pitch and roll. Turret is operated with VTOL and Trim. Shake the turret around to get rid of any pieces of the cage that may have stuck to you. All the other tank controls are the same as the original Prowler.

I like it
@Flyboy360 Thanks.
@Synthex4060 Glad you like it.
Oh I love those kind of thing. I actually already have a droppable vehicle, but haven't made a succesful drop-ship for it yet.
the snail has a home
@Kerbango Interesting. @ me when you finish it.
@Sunnyskies i am working on a similar idea but with a jet on a booster stage. It should be done tonight or tomorrow morning.
@Kerbango I never meant for mine to be so popular. Had I known, I would have made the delivery plane less ugly. Now 2581 people have it.
Thanks btw!
Same idea totally different concept. Yours is great!
@SergioGT Thanks
This is great!
@Sunnyskies o ok
@FireNut58 ??? They are all on the same group (AG2). I just listed the step for detaching them for the sake of comprehensiveness.
i woudl like to point out now u dont need the seprate group to detach the parashoots becase if ya deactivate teh group there in they will cut of automaticly =-)
Ohhhhh, ok now I see it. Once again thanks @Sunnyskies
@Unreliablewaffle365 Good Idea with the camera, but the engines are mostly a non-issue since the tank doesn't need to be throttled up to work (engines are throttled with pitch). All you need to do is cut throttle before you deploy the cage.
1 other thing you might want too add. It would be a good idea to add an orbit camera on the actual plane itself. Also having the engines shut down after detach will be great to save precious fuel from being lost.
Thank you for the parts@Sunnyskies
@DEATH2REVIVE LINK These are modded to behave the same way as the Prowler's
@Unreliablewaffle365 Not that I am aware of. I use PC. Best way to get modded parts is to pull them off of other people's planes and save them as a subassembly. I posted a link to some modded guns above.
Can you please edit a wing gun and a. Gatline gun to make its bullet weight to the max. Also can you lower the firing rate please reply
K thx but how do u do that on iOS ?
@Sunnyskies
@Unreliablewaffle365 Edited bullet weight in the XML. If the bullets are heavy enough, they smack things with enough momentum to send them flying. Also allows it to destroy the bridges.
Holy S* bro this is freaken sick. Love it love it love it...
Ps. Plz tell me how you did that primary turret. I love how it makes aa tanks and trucks fly sky high.
@Phillipsosophy I actually toyed a lot with the fuel. Putting it in the plane made it so when the tank was separated, it lost all access to that fuel, leaving the tank empty on fuel and useless. So I had to put the fuel in the tank itself. But too much fuel made the tank too heavy to drop. Fuel is the major challenge to building something like this.
Also, thanks!
