TSR-65 Mk.2 '145 and TSR-65P Mk.2 '160
While the individual known as "D-45R6" is well known for their aircraft, they have also done quite well in the small arms business.
And now, we have the first rifle for the civilian market: the TSR-65 Mk.2
-LORE DUMP-
Many know the rifle known as the "AR-15". Gun nuts love it, polititions hate it, karens fear it. Whatever it is for you, it's here to stay.
Fast forward to the mid 22nd Century, and it is STILL in producton. by now it has since shed it's reputation as a "wEAPoN Of wAr" and is now just another rifle in the "Tactical-Sporting-Rifle" class of rifles: rifles designed with customization and modularity in mind. they also come with a metric fuckton of Tac-Rails
The TSR-65 Mk.2 is D-45's take on such a rifle.
The TSR-65 Mk.2
Part civilian, Part military, all awesome
The TSR-65 Mk.2 is a rifle targeted at the civilian market. As such it is designed to fit within most civilian regulations: Semi Auto Only, Threaded Barrel, Extendable Stock, Barrel Shroud All that bolloks.
But what sets it apart from every other AR-15 Style rifle is what cartridge it shoots: 6.5 x 48mm NATO
6.5 x 48mm NATO (another lore dump)
size comparison with 30-06 springfield cartridge
The 6.5 x 48mm NATO cartridge as of 2040 onwards serves as the standard round for military rifles. And this is a mean little round as it is smaller than a .308, yet packs more muzzle energy than a 30-06.
It does this by taking a 150gr bullet and yeeting it up to 3280.8 fps (1000m/s). This roughly equates to 4862 joules of muzzle energy. By comparison, the 30-06 only can do upwards of roughly 4116 joules of muzzle energy.
This isn't without its drawbacks however as the recoil of such a round is rather immense, and to add to that, firearm chambers have to be designed to not only be able to withstand the pressures generated by this round, but rifles not properly modified have been known to act more like an IED than a firearm.
But what is even weirder about this round is how barrel length affects its muzzle velocity
As shown by the graph, the bullet leaves the barrel traveling the exact same speed from barrel lengths of 7 inches to as long as 28 inches, but drops off severely past that and any longer than 32 inches, the bullet fails to exit the barrel.
In terms of range. due to an exceptional ballistic coefficient of about .713, the round maintains supersonic speeds to well over 1800 yards and has an estimated max effective range of 2500+ yards.
TSR-65 Mk.2 (pt.2)
When the rifle was originally released, most people scoffed at its almost cheap looking sheet metal exterior. Yet it was given a chance by a couple people at first and the peformance of this rifle was revealed to be staggering: 0.025 MOA at 100 meters, as well as a max range of over 3km.
As a result, the TSR-65 remains on of the best rifles of its kind on the market.
Fast forward however to the late 2150s, and this rifle has gained a...fearful reputation: due to the round this weapon shoots, it can pierce even Level 4 Body armor with relative ease. And became popular with people on the...other side of the law as a result. Due to this, D-45R6 upon request made a "new" weapon to counter this "new breed of assault rifle": the TSR-65P Mk.2
The TSR-65P Mk.2
a more "civilized" weapon for a more uncivilized age
The TSR-65P is a variant of the normal TSR-65 designed exclusively for Law enforcement, and has some "upgrades" for this role:
-can shoot in either semi auto or 3 round burst (not rendered in simpleplanes due to limitations)
-has a faster cyclic rate
-use of plastic parts to speed up manufacturing
As this weapon was designed only for police, D-45 took some Serious measures to make sure it stays this way:
-the trigger group is different (is not interchangable with the civilian model)
-is not available in the official site
-can only use proprietary ammunition
TSR-65P Mk.2 (pt.2)
Fast forward to the early 23rd century, this rifle still remains an active weapon within law enforcement and has even seen use by SWAT.
The 3 round burst has also proven to be extremely useful as it can eat through almost any body armor with little resistance.
This rifle also shares the same accuracy and range as the civilian model.

@MobileBuilder21 thanks
Good 10/10
@DatRoadTrainGuy19 yeah there's alot of it in this post
L O R E
@Tohu okay
ᴾᵉʳˢᵒⁿᵃˡ ᶜʳᶦˢᶦˢ ᵃᵛᵉʳᵗᵉᵈ
@Nerfaddict
Exactly!
@Tohu oh okay
So you'll just take the Police Variant as is?
@Nerfaddict
Yeah I know
If I were to use it, I would use the police variant with the dot sight attached.
@Tohu 👍
@Tohu ok- wait...
This could complicate things for both me and you
The customized version I mentioned is the Civilian variant (the top one), the bottom one is the police variant and I have no modified variants. Or rather, it already comes with an AFG Integrated into the handguard
@Nerfaddict
Thanks‼︎
I like angledgrip than Vforegrip
so I will definitely use it to solve some issues and build a police force.
@Tohu if you need, I can just omit the Foregrip or replace it with a magpul AFG if that is any easier
@FirstFish83828
Yeah, I can but My reload system may not be able to make good use of his extension parts.
@Nerfaddict Tag @tohu on that, that is if he can use it
@FirstFish83828 also I have a customized version of the top one that is effectively ready for upload
And is equipped with the following:
-Angled Foregrip
-Muzzle Brake
-extendable stock
-Scope (Bares resemblance to the Trijicon Acupoint)
-90° rail adapter for the lack of any side rails
Just thinking of what to put on the side rail as it is a "Non-Zeroable" rail
@FirstFish83828 go right ahead
@Tohu, can you make a walker with this?
@Rjenteissussy yes
SimpleGuns.mod.sp
@Xx24reminder
-yes it is a character
-This rifle (on paper) hits way harder than an m4. And keep in mind this takes place in the "far" future, and "material advancements" would most likely require something new to counter it
@Nerfaddict so it's just a character?
Also what swat officer needs an m4 variant?
@Xx24reminder just some personal lore
-I portray a different individual in the descriptions than "real life"
-The top one in lore is made for the civilian market
-The bottom one in lore is made for Police and other forms of law enforcement
Why do you seem so triggered?
Also why is it for law enforcement 💀
@FOXG thanks
