XC-75E2 “Ballista”
“How in the actual laws of phisics did they straped a tank cannon to a plane?”
-an enemy private in an encounter with this.
Restricted to some roles, certain planes are created for these specific roles and thus increasing the required amount of planes, and the maintenance needed. The A-10 was a great ground attack plane, and that is still true. But there are other aircrafts that could be converted to ground attack roles.
The Weapons Research Department created this beauty, the XC-75. Chambered in 75mm M3, It fires from a 25 round box of pure chaos full of either AP, HE, APFSDS, or HEAT shells. This can tear up an attacking force from cavalry units to tank divisions. And the compact size and utilization of some common assault rifle configuration, maintenance is beyond easy. Installation is also a blessing. We have managed to fit these in an A-10 with a 300 round internal mag and it showed boom booms that we could only dream of. But if you don’t have a spare A-10 lying around, you could strap one in from the wing of your plane.

Boom 25: arm cannon
Fire weapon: logic dictates that the weapon will fire
How to use
(Please do note that the boom 25s were never intended to shoot in front. So, naturally, there are no reticles incorporated in the hud. But adding a gun will do)
Step 1: aim
Step 2: fire
Step 3: repeat

A very nice cannon. Works as intended but I think you should've added a recoil system to make it less static

Well, bomb launchers are quite common but still your design is one of a kind

@LiamW it's actually 99 parts only since I do not include the main cockpit in the part count :P.
Fitting exactly within the max part count ;)
