Embraer P-99C, Royal Askarian Navy
The Embraer P-99 is (or would be in real life) the Anti-Submarine/Maritime Patrol variant of the R-99 family. The P-99C is a specialized variant of the P-99 for the Konunglegi Askarian sjóherinn (Royal Askarian Navy). The P-99C Comes with 4 hard points, SIGNT and ELINT capabilities.
In 2001, when the R-99 family was announced, Konunglegi Askarian sjóherinn (Royal Askarian Navy) needed a new Maritime Patrol aircraft with both Anti-Submarine and SIGNT capabilities. They had 2 options, the P-3 Orion and EP-3 AERIES II or the P-8 Poseidon. Konunglegi Askarian sjóherinn wanted a more customizable aircraft so the Chief of Naval Operations for Konunglegi Askarian sjóherinn approached Embraer with a proposal. The proposal was a variant of the P-99 that had Anti-Submarine and SIGNT capabilities. This was due to Askaria’s lack of maritime patrol and security in a post-Cold War world with stealth submarines and so Embraer came up with the P-99C. As of right now, the P-99C is only used by the Konunglegi Askarian sjóherinn.
