3) Singapore (my country’s) Swissôtel was the reason the Ryugyong Hotel was built.
At the time, it was the world’s tallest hotel tower and was built by a South Korean company, so NK got jealous and attempted to build a taller one
And a "place" in the world, even if a minor annoying one.
