Rhino AAV

The Rhino AAV (Amphibious Assault Vehicle) is an Amphibious Assault Vehicle developed for the Federation Marine Corps and primarily intended for shore landing.

Rhino AAVs will replace existing AAVP-7A1s and will be used mostly in Amphibious Landing Divisions

Development

Although the Federation met its AAV needs with LVTP-5s, it started to use AAVP-7A1s after 1986.

However, domestic solutions began to be sought for AAVP-7A1, which became difficult to maintain after the embargoes.

Although a licensed production for FNSS ZAHA was considered in the first legs of the project, it was later decided to build an AAV from scratch.

Firepower:
Rhino AAVs have one RWS and one personnel-controlled FMG-3.

Although its weapon capabilities lag behind the AAVP-7A1, it makes up for it with its armor and speed at sea.

Armor:

Belganium+ armor used in Coeval MBTs was also used in this vehicle.

Vehicle provides 85% protection against most tank-ATGM fires
