Lockheed P-38 Lightning
Just about the millionth P-38 on this site. It certainly isn't perfect but it's as good as it's going to get.
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning is a World War II-era American piston-engined fighter aircraft. Developed for the United States Army Air Corps, the P-38 had distinctive twin booms and a central nacelle containing the cockpit and armament. Allied propaganda claimed it had been nicknamed the fork-tailed devil (German: der Gabelschwanz-Teufel) by the Luftwaffe and "two planes, one e pilot"? by the Japanese. The P-38 was used for interception, dive bombing, level bombing, ground attack, night fighting, photo reconnaissance, radar and visual pathfinding for bombers and evacuation missions, and extensively as a long-range escort fighter when equipped with drop tanks under its wings.

I modified your plane into a jet is it okay if I upload it?
lol everyone on here is so pro and I love it-i build mine and I'm all proud of it and then I look on here and there's pretty much scale replicas all over the place
Screaming imperial Japanese sounds REEEEEEEEE
This is awesome!
@TheGuyYouMightKnow This thing is sexy, bull its over done. Getting my PC tomorrow. The. Ill use it, to many parts for my phone at the moment. Hyped
@Tessemi Yeah it's over done as hell but thanks! I appreciate it!
@TheLatentImage Thanks!
This is pretty well done, nice work man.
I cant do it it runs vary slow for me sorry just try to add some rokets or 2 1000lbs bombs
Im going to downlode it and realise an improved one with weapons
@Delosofy Thanks! I'll try to tune in!
@DragonAerotech It is mobile friendly, if you're on IOS you'll get a warning about the size but it should be fine. I usually try to make my more detailed planes mobile friendly if if I can!
@TheGuyYouMightKnow Don't get me wrong, looks great as is and yes, its likely cleaner w/o the custom landing gear. Furthermore the smaller part count might even make it low enough to be friendly to mobile users. ^_~
@DragonAerotech Thanks! I went with default landing gear because I thought it looked cleaner but I do wish I had done my one gear, but its a bit late to change it now XD
@Sunnyskies Thanks a bunch!
@TheGuyYouMightKnow I've always been a fan of twin-boom aircraft,so when I see this pop up in my jetstream with that detailed office, of course you're going to get my vote! She looks nice, I won't be able to look closer/fly her for a while but from what I see I like it! With all the detail though, why did you go with stock landing gear rather than building up detailed replica landing gear? No criticism intended, only curious!
@TheGuyYouMightKnow Added.
Overall score 9/10. Very nice plane. Best cockpit I've seen yet in a P-38. Be very proud of that.
@Trainzo Thanks!
Very good job . Great plane .
@temporaryaccount I'm aware it's a joke, I've gotten "do I know you?" About a million times and I always reply with "you might" because it's part of the name.
@temporaryaccount You might.
@Liquidfox Thank you! I've come to have a distaste for P-38s too but I couldn't find any with a cockpit (I didn't look for very long so there may very well be other P-38s with cockpits) so I thought i'd try to spice things up with a more detailed one.
@Sunnyskies I must admit that it doesn't perform as well as I'd like it to but there's only so much I can do to make it better.
@Sunnyskies alright
@shipster Maybe as far as raw aestheticism is concerned. It is one of the nicer-looking ones. Though, as soon as I'm done nitpicking every aspect of the plane, we'll see where it places compared to the rest.
