*FINAL ENTRY!* (Great Fox/ Interceptor Challenge!)
The Great Fox has never taken part in combat operations. Definently, it's all for the better. A modern weapon first of all must be a weapon for detention- the more efficient such a weapon is, the fewer attempts to encroach upon state sovereignty are committed. This is a Soviet style power bird for the interceptor challenge. A classic interceptor! The aircraft is a better version of the "Big Fox", and by request of a certain user, it has adopted the name "Great Fox". To anyone experienced with the two aircraft, there are some easy to spot differences, and some ones that cannot be seen from the outside. The aircraft first has had improved aerodynamic configuration to deal with the need for a high speed interceptor at low altitude. These include the relocation and new shape of horizontal stabilizers. The wings got a new distinctive leading edge wing cuff. This is said to improve maneuverability based on an increase in lift, not directly associated with the main lifting surface. It also improves stability of the aircraft at high angles of attack, which is super critical for close range air to air engagement. Otherwise, the aircraft could flick under full potential maneuvers. This could lead to spin, loss of an aircraft, or even worse the loss of flight crew. We can also see a reduced amount of wing hardpoints, along with two new belly racks. The air brake location has been adjusted to further benefit it's use in air to air maneuvering. A full combat turn can now be completed a lot quicker! The aircraft has been equipped with a whole new radar, which affects the entirety of nose section's aesthetics. First, the nose had to be widened to accommodate such radar piece. After this, the canopy has to be lengthened to fit a whole new crew member, who's task was to operate the new radar tracking system. The aircraft can now track targets more accurately than ever before. It can be said that the aircraft has changed roles completely- it has gone from just a normal high altitude, and high speed interceptor to a low altitude combat capable interceptor. It is almost an air to air dog fighter at time of post developement to "Big Fox". But what is to make of this? Well, any person who is well acquainted with "Big Fox" and "Great Fox" interceptor programme would immediately know that the latter was the version first conceived to carry out air to air dogfighting. Unfortunately with advances in technology, "Great Fox" surpasses it's older brother in this respect- as the phrase goes; "beaten on his own turf". The aircraft has now got new engines. No longer does it need a high compression after burning turbo jet to coupe with the high altitude. No, instead the aircraft has received a bypass turbo fan engine, again with reheat. This can be seen with the new extension of engine afterburner unit. The aircraft became higher performance, but at a cost- it had a tremendous weight increase. For purposes of weight distribution, new fighter aircraft is equipped with double main undercarriage bogies. This also helps the aircraft land on snow or ice runways. One of the newset important role changes to the new low level interceptor project was an increase flight range. As discussed earlier, the engines were changed- they were smaller. This allowed aircraft to fit in more fuel tanks where engines originally were held. Also for the purpose of long range flight, the aircraft received a new mid air refueling probe. That is about all of the changes the aircraft has gone through. There are other minor ones, but only for the purpose of pilot comfort, hardly noticeable to anyone not piloting a certain combat aircraft such as "Great Fox". I hope that everyone else does well in mikoyansters's excellent challenge. Remember to thank him, because those templates take a lot of time to make, and it takes a considerable amount of effort to individually assess each aircraft. I am happy that this challenge has given me the chance to make such an aircraft as the "Big Fox" and "Great Fox" projects. These are of course based off of the MiG-25 and MiG-31 Soviet interceptor programmes. The next time watch the "Great Fox" fight, we must remember those people who designed, built, and taught this aircraft how to fly- to make it the best interceptor in the world... Enjoy!

@Ephwurd
@JettStorm
Sure thing, buddy!
@Athaya
The only pure interceptor in real life..
It looks nice, well detailed, and sleek. However, I think that cockpit should be moved forward. The way it is, the nose would obstruct the view of the runway on landing approach.
Thanks!
@BaconRoll
@XjayIndustrys
@NativeChief1492
np man
Thanks!
@Tully2001
Thanks for the upvote!
@ChaMikey
generals : we need fast jet
designer : need power
generals : make powerful engine
designer : it will be heavy and big
generals : make big plane for big jet
thus the foxbat and foxhound were made.
I need to finish the gears for mine lol, and yeah they amaze me as well.
I am making a MiG-31 like chamikey 2! @RAF1
Np! @RAF1
These MiG power jets are so amazing to me, I can't wait to see the one that you've made!
@ChaMikey
DAGNABBIT ;-; i was just finished on my mig xD welp great work man, love it
Thanks!
