In light of the new WarThunder update adding French aircraft into the game, I have decided to be the first person on Simple Planes to make a replica of the French prototype plane that is included in the update. I've gotta tell you, this is probably one of the most sexy prototype planes I've seen in my opinion. Now for some facts: The French SNCASO SO.8000 Narval (Francais for Narwhal) was a push plane with contra-rotating propellers produced in 1949. Only 2 were ever made. It was extremely fast for a propeller plane, with a top speed of around 450 mph (730 km/h). Armaments included 6x 20mm cannons embedded within the nose. The narval was a naval fighter as it would have been deployed from aircraft carriers to counter enemy planes at sea. This is my first accurate, to-scale replica of a real aircraft in SP.
