The ACn-03 "Keeper" SPAS-MiC is part of a growing series of partially autonomous vehicles. It is a heavy tank designed for the attack/siege of bases, as well as for delivering long-range supporting fire.

The Keeper pioneers an interface involving live scanning of the surroundings to generate a 3-dimensional third-person view. Coupled with previous camera and radar systems, only a single operator is required. With remote control technology, the Keeper can be further improved to become one of the first effective large ground RC drones.

ARMAMENT

The Keeper turret has a primary armament of dual 203mm (8") guns. Each gun has a maximum elevation of +25 degrees and a maximum depression of -10 degrees. The maximum range of the gun is estimated to be 8-9 miles (at maximum elevation). Each gun is typically loaded with 16 rounds, but the guns can actually hold many more.

Behind the guns are 4 missile silos. Each silo can hold 4 ATGMs, 4 SAMs, or a small cruise missile. The pictured variant contains 16 ATGMs.

The base variant does not contain any defensive armament or concealment devices.

USES

The Keeper is mainly used as a support vehicle due to its long range and large size. It can also be used in conventional armor-to-armor combat.

Some bases also use the Keeper as a defensive vehicle, where it is recognized for its ability to deal with airships. However, the use of stationary turrets is more widespread. This includes Keeper turrets purchased without the tracked chassis and mounted onto a platform.

It must be noted that the Keeper is not as capable of climbing hills or overcoming rough terrain than its smaller counterparts.

PRODUCTION

Keeper turrets have been in production from the mid-21st Century, under a built-to-order scheme. Only large militaries are able to purchase units.

Little is known about the number of Keeper units produced. This information is classified.
