P.020c-128m
Ostpreußen Heer P.020c-128m
“This tank fixed my marriage after I blew my salary on booze, thanks Žaneta!"
The final iteration of the Žaneta chassis, featuring improved armor and firepower on a still powerful and quick chassis.
Turret
While the same Mk16 turret found on prior Žaneta versions is still true here, the addition of a new main gun is the largest change, as well as a mortar on the turret bustle that can be manned by a infantryman.
The new Rh-128A6A1 retains the automatic loading arm, leaving the loader to load the shell onto the autoloading system after every shot, as well as disposing of spent shells in the hull.
As well as the autoloader, the A6A1 cannon offers greater elevation and depression compared to prior weapons mounted on the Žaneta, while maintaining the ability to quickly reload at every angle of elevation and depression.
Lastly, the A/C system in the Mk16 turret was replaced with a more robust system, capable of keeping the turret interior a cool 21° C. During trials in more arid environments, it was found that the A/C prior installed was mostly inadequate despite initial thinking leading to the belief the vehicle wouldn't leave Ostpreußen's borders, and thus it's more predominantly colder weather.
Hull
Input offered by crews of the Žaneta and following logistic officers found its way back to Torsten Schwarzenberg, the original designer of the Žaneta, it was decided by him and fellow colleges to completly redesign the hull and use the old one as a reference, mostly for what to improve upon.
What they came up with was ultimately heavier, but offered significantly more protection for the operating crew and provided greater power over rougher terrain the Žaneta may eventually come across.
The frontal hull, with its improved spaced armor, is now more capable of withstanding 30mm autocannon strikes from all but point blank ranges, while sides are capable of withstanding 14.5mm autocannon fire by itself from over 100 meters.
Due in part thanks to the armor increase, the crew is kept in its own compartment, with a layer of spaced armor all around protecting them from what could possibly be a harsh environment, as well as from fuel and engine compartments.
Versatility
Due to reported engine problems reported from field trials of earlier Žaneta versions, it was decided to replace the rear internal passenger conpartment with an engine compartment. This gives the vehicle a greater power-to-weight ratio than prior versions, and while it limits its infantry support role significantly, it cements the tank destroyer role this variant was striving for.
Due to various complaints and suggestions made by crews of earlier versions and infantry that supported them, various additions were made for convenience; ladders to more easily access the vehicle were added onto the sides of the hull and turret, short railings for additional equipment to be stored on the hull, a 120mm flare launcher to illuminate the surrounding area, and a spare tyre on the rear of the hull, all by default.
As well, due to some concerns of infantry being able to overtake the earlier Žaneta versions due to a lack of defense weapons (was alleviated somewhat with RCWS), two 5m AP devices were placed on the rear sides of the hull, only able to be detonated by the driver if he were to find the vehicle to be in threat of being overwhelmed. When detonated, the shockwave of the explosive device has been found to create a 5m killzone in a 75° arc in the direction they're facing, with shrapnel from the device only dropping off at 15 meters.

Note from Staffel
Aye, final version of the Žaneta, or at least the last one I can think of making for now.
By now, I feel I should end up uploading my other OstP vehicles, since I've got something like a dozen other completly vehicles with variants that also have descriptions, but I uploaded unlisted to I guess not spam the site.
Eitherway, hope everyone ends up enjoying this, and surprisingly its actually kinda mobile friendly as well, despite what the part count tells you.

It's the least I could do to show gratitude for your work, as out of nowhere as it was.
@TheMachinist
Of course, it wouldn't look exact, and I can 100% see the resemblance in the two, but the differences do show a sign of pretty good craftmanship overall.
@TheMachinist
Yep @MrVaultech
That, I must say, is subjective.
Don't think flex tape can put holes into enemy armor, but flex tape sure as well can patch them!
@SuperSix
But does it fix better than flex tape?
@MrVaultech
Thanks.
Yeah, deal.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
@MrVaultech
Alright. So, 110 Žaneta 3s. Deal?
I'd say the trailers would be up to you for all of thats, but the Žaneta's can be easily provided.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
@MrVaultech
Ok, so I'll order 110 vehicles plus the same number of armoured trailers capable of carrying 5 men and ammunition and supplies for four days.
Yeah, more than capable of doing so.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
@MrVaultech
Would it be possible for the Žaneta to tow an armoured trailer?
Unfortunately not, as the passenger compartment was replaced with an engine compartment.
@TheFantasticTyphoon
Does this model retain the internal storage space of the older versions?
