100parts VR challenge Miles 2A Hawk
Clocking in at 100 parts exactly: The ADC Cirrus powered first series Miles Hawk 1930's sportsplane and club trainer. Like the original, it leisurely saunters through the air at 100 mph and topps out at 120. Also just like the original, its instrumentation is pretty basic: airspeed, altimeter, vertical speed and fuel gauge. Like the original, there are no flaps and fancy gizmos either and the landing gear is fixed. The only luxury I allowed myself is the combined propeller pitch / engine power system that keeps the prop idling at zero pitch even when power is set when power is 'off' and even turns the engine into an air brake when braking. To start, flip the dial switch just above the throttle lever (or push button 1) . The engine will idle at about 15%power but with prop set to idle. Then use throttle, either the lever or the joystick controls, as usual. For landing, idle power and brake on and off while lining up to the runway, touch down and apply full brakes. Because the braking now happens at prop height instead of at the wheels, the plane will not dig nose-in.
And if you like this plane, I uploaded two more versions of this for you to check out:
+ The improved Miles Hawk Major
+ The Miles Hawk Speed Six racing plane

I am so glad someone else is as bad at making screenshots as me - while building awesome planes at the same time! 😉
This is actually really well done for such a low part count. I love it.
Dang @MrCOPTY you beat me to it
@Sockdragger It looks good but the mobile hud it there try to cut the controls on the screen shot so it doesn't look to bad and also there is a button to turn you aircraft invisible
