The 1940s; a time of great innovation and dramatic transitions from piston to turbojet power. To participate in this challenge, you must create a late-tier propeller aircraft and/or an early jet aircraft. Your builds don't have to be based off real airplanes, you're allowed to construct your own fictional aircraft with the same style as others from that era. The rules are as follows:

1. You are allowed, at most, TWO submissions, one propeller-powered and one jet-powered.
2. No miniguns or missiles allowed.
3. T1000 and T2000 propeller engines only.
4. J15 and J50 turbojet engines only.
5. XML modding is allowed.
6. The aircraft must be a successor of this post and of your own creation.

The criteria that judging will be based on is:

1. Appearance [visual style and/or realism]
2. Functionality [rotating parts, bomb doors, gunsights, etc.]
3. Performance [smooth controls, realistic flight characteristics]

Every submitted entry will be upvoted and spotlighted. The builders of the aircraft that score the most according to this criteria will win the following rewards:

1st Place: 20 upvotes
2nd Place: 15 upvotes
3rd Place: 10 upvotes
