[FSF] I-40 Ver.2 Obliterator

"Obliterator"

Oh deer...

So, in shot terms,

it's exactly what it looks like. Someone designed and built this weird ahh plane... and it has a giant cannon on top. And when I say giant, I mean it. A 150mm flak cannon built for destroying literally anything. The USS Beast might give you struggle though. There's just one issue, however: your ammo is limited. You only get 80 shots. Which I guess is a lot for what it's worth, but in the scope of a battle, that'll probably deplete quickly. Luckily though, the Obliterator's armament is stacked. It comes with three Peril-35 missiles, which can lock on instantly to an opponent, as well as two 7.62mm miniguns. The caliber may be anything but impressive, but the fire-rate is absolutely ridiculous. A good burst can pretty much grind anything to a pulp. As for performance, it's arguably the slowest plane in all of FSF, and its roll is underwhelming if not disappointing, but it's a decent turner to some degree.

Trivia

-Credit to @Seemeing for the FT code on the cannon, borrowed from this build (it's very helpful code).
-I haven't built the Ver.1 variant of the I-40, but if I did, it would have normal 20mm autocannons, no missiles, and... that's literally it. Everything else would stay the same except maybe the livery.
-Don't let the weird cockpit view deter you, the Obliterator is one of few planes so far to gift you with a guncam.
-I was tempted to put silly nose art on this plane, because everybody loves getting shot down by a gremlin.

    @RepublicofWrightIsles Depends
    If we're talking about when it entered service in the 1950s, it'd be around $136,000 (which is pretty low-priced in comparison to an F-86 from the same era at over $200,000. The low price is a result of low expectations for the design, but of course it ended up being a beast). If we're talking about in modern day though, around $865,000 thanks to inflation, demand, and fuel prices.
