    PI-JMC-Basilik-Mk1

Due to the lack of effective low cost fighters in the company inventory. An internal team was task to create one. A prototype of the Basilik was shown at an air show, which took the intrest of Tharbes' Navy. A contract was awarded to Potat Industries to countinue the project and add carrier capabilities.

The Basilik is a simple carrier based multirole fighter and is designed to be a workhorse for any air force or navy. With it's ability of carrying multiple of our weapons systems and low rearming times, the Basilisk can quickly switch loadouts to fill the needs of the current state of a mission.

Loadouts

Using the following loadouts, the Basilisk can acomplish almost all mission types.

Standard
The basic loadout, it's equipped with 4 PI-MMS-Saola-Mk1, Semi-Active Mutilrole Missile, 2 500lbs Drag Bomb and 1 Drop Tank. The Basilisk was first desgined with this loadout.

Air-to-Air (A2A)
The A2A loadout is equipped with 4 PI-MMS-Saola-Mk1, Semi-Active Mutilrole Missile, 4 PI-MAB-Anoa-Mk1, Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile and 1 Drop Tank. This loadout should be used to secure and maintain air superiority

Anti-Sub Warfare (ASW)
The ASW loadout is equipped with 4 timed Anti-Sub Charge and 1 Drop Tank. Due to the weight of the Anti-Sub Charge, using this loadout causes the Basilisk to lose a great amount of speed.

Close Air Support (CAS)
The CAS is equipped with 4 PI-MG-Zebu-Mk1, Air-to-Surface Missile, 2 500lbs Drag Bomb and 1 Drop Tank.

Electronic Warfare (EW)
The EW loadout is designed to carry various of our electronic systems like the jammer, the False Lock-On Alert Generator (FLOAG) system and the Loki Recon Pod. The FLOAG while functioning, has still not been used in an combat mission. The drop tank had to be sacrified for the jammer pod.

Reconnaissance (Recon)
The recon loadout is equipped with the Loki Recon Pod, 1 Drop Tank and 2 Smaller Drop Tank. The 2 Smaller Drop tanks are used to increase the range of the Basilisk.
