but let's skip over that, let's get to the history of the M40A1

History

the M40A1 monarch is the MDF's (Mediterranean Defense Force) primary and latest MBT, the M40A1 was used from 1990 up to present day, often seen on the island of maywar as a defense force alongside the great dane and the chimera light tank. the design is very similar to the Leopard 2A6 and merkava 4M, which were the primary inspirations to the design.

an estimated 5k units are currently in service and definitely more on the way, now to explain this, off to the specs

Specs

it has around 450mm of turret NERA and 500mm straight up on the LFP

aswell as an autoloader (as per A1 variant) that grants a 4 second reload on the dot with 28 ready rack ammo and 45 in backup

a pretty effective weight of 55 tonnes and a whopping 900hp rolls royce "stallion" engine, pneumatic suspension

turret traverse of 20 degrees per second

around 20 degrees of elevation and 6 degrees of gun depression(might be more idk maffs XD), may not be alot but mind you it already has pneumatic suspension

it has a gunner, driver, and commander, if you empty the rear ammo stowage you could store injured crew members

Controls

WASD-movement

camera aimed for both the top MG and the turret

VTOL slider- elevation and depression of the hull

Trim slider- hull leaned up and down, there is a difference.

it is a pretty fun tank but nothing special
