Introduction
Here we have my MKII world war weird (WW2 era) Gravedigger build. If you haven't seen my MKI have a look down my build list.
I did base this design on some artwork I saw but have since lost (sorry to the original designer and appropriate credit). I had fun working a semi retracted wheel mechanism for the fus with appropriately sequenced doors again.
Designed as a dedicated heavy ground attack platform with the ability to fly slowly but still packing a punch with its 4no. machine guns and 2no. cannon (plus the ability to carry bombs, torpedos or in this case my custom unguided rockets)
Now improved (or performance reduced), I have reduced its top speed, I never intended it to be faster than a Spitfire... So it is now a more able attack aircraft as it can loiter at a more reasonable speed. I have added a fin to improve its stability, added some aero mudguards to the wheels to smooth out the junction between the elements, I fixed some colour issues in places, added a full cockpit layout, changed the colour scheme / lettering etc. and carried out numerous other tweaks including adding some custom drop tanks for extended range.
