Description
The Yakovlev Yak-18 was a single engine military aerobatic trainer built by the Soviet Union in 1946. Many variants were made, with different engines and landing gear layouts to modernize the aircraft. The original 1946 model had an unusual engine cowling and semi-retractable taildragger landing gear. I built a Yak-18 a very long time ago, and I tried to do this same livery on it. It wasn't anything special and definitely had many problems with how unrealistic it was. However it still flies fine and I enjoyed it at the time. This model is significantly improved with more accurate speeds, good looking landing gear, a mostly complete interior (anything non-essential for VR was pretty much stripped except a couple lights for aesthetic purposes), a propwash system and realistic airfoils and wings. I originally wanted a free-turning tailwheel but it was too bouncy on landing and it made the plane wildly unstable and highly prone to ground looping, which isn't ideal. Oh, and this one actually has flaps

The hoses on the landing gear are great
You should have used a camera for pilot view, so I can keep it on the instrument panel while fiddling with buttons. Other than that, nice build.
