Last time I challenged you to build a medium bomber with an internal Bomb-bay, as the new update made creating Bomb-bay’s super easy. However, of course there is so much more you can do with the new building techniques the update introduced to SimplePlanes. Some might even argue that anything created before 1.11 are obsolete, as 1.11 made it possible for builds to be more efficient, better looking, and more detailed than ever before. 1.11 has been absolutely game changing.

All these new possibilities have made me question: what would all those amazing older builds look like if they were built using current day building mechanics? Therefor, in this challenge I task you to remaster anything that was uploaded to the SimplePlanes website before update 1.11 (Oct 2021).

I challenge to to make a rebuild or recreation of any airplane, tank, APC, car, or ship that was previously uploaded to the SimplePlanes website, except using the new building techniques and perhaps new skills you learned to improve upon the original design. You should keep the overall design of the original creation the same, but your submition should be a complete improved rebuild / remake of the old creation. Below are some specific rules for this challenge, that you should follow.

Rules for this challenge:

• It must be a rebuild or remaster of a post that was uploaded before Oct 2021. This may be your own post, this may be somebody else’s post.

• To enter this challenge, your submission may be an aircraft, naval vessel, ground vehicle, or spacecraft. In essence, any vehicle will be accepted.

• Rebuilding an existing creation is the goal of this challenge, this means you may completely start from scratch as long as you retain the original design / layout. (Engine, cockpit, wing, etc, placement stays the same.

• Your rebuild should have a cockpit, or similar thing which corresponds to your vehicle / build type (does not need to be ultra-fancy, but at least functional).

• Must be a sucessor to this post!

• Your posts description most contain a link to the original creation.

• No more than 1850 parts. (Disable the drag calculations on parts that do not need to have their drag calculated!)

• Preferably no modded parts (XML modding is fine. Build that require me to download a mod will be ignored.)

• Feel free to submit multipole builds.

• The description of your creation should include the controls for your of your creation, as well as a bit of an explanation / lore behind it’s design.

A note on grading / determining the winner:

Winning this challenge is not based only on how well made your submission is. In fact, I will primarily look at the difference between the remaster and the original build. In other words; a god-tier submission based on a already god-tier original post, will not be graded as high as good submission which remastered a mediocre creation.

Awards / After the deadline:
Once all builds have been submitted, I plan on livestreaming while I check out and comment on the submitted creations. I will do this on my YouTube channel.
A recording will be uploaded to YouTube, however I might only make it accessible through the SP website.

(*If there are a lot of submission, I may choose to only look at creations that got more than 5 upvotes during the livestream due to time constrains. *)

There may or may not be an award for my personal favourite submission + straw poll favourite in the form of extra SP website points. However, I’m still looking into if this is possible.
