Considered as the C-130 of starships, the Sphinx has been one of humanity's most versatile starships to have ever been made and has seen several retrofits and upgrades in its 700 long years in service. First used as an orbital shuttle during the Second Rebirth, the Sphinx was then used as a combat dropship during the Pre-Crossing War and is currently used as a long-range cargo hauler/personal HQ by present-day spacefarers. Somehow the ship's blueprints managed to survive the Crossing, so after humanity has settled amongst the stars they decided to make the Sphinx once again. Staying faithful to the original, the Sphinx maintains most of its original components with the exception of its new engines, new laser cannons and the addition of the multi-award-winning SPECorp Aspyr autoturret.
