[CLOSED] Classic Grand Prix Challenge
The good old times!
Welcome to the Classic Grand Prix Challenge.
Here, your job is to build a Grand Prix car, fictional or replica, from 1920 to 1985.
What do i mean by “Grand Prix Car”?
I mean any car made to race in a Grand Prix, be it Targa Florio, Milli Miglia, Napoli Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix, Formula 1,Formula 5000, Formula 3000, and so on. However, this excludes USAC Sprintcars (GP Laps’ video about them) non-open wheelers, vehicles meant for Oval Racing (however, if it’s a car from CART, USAC or IRL, as long as it is in Road Course configuration it’s fine) and offroaders.
Rules:
1- Part Count must be betwen 50 and 275.
2- Must be a successor post
3- Cars must have either 4 or 6 wheels.
4- Cars must be Open Wheelers.
5- Must be from 1920 to 1985
6- No mods allowed but Overload and Fine Tuner.
7- Must be RWD (if it has 4 rear wheels, like a concept made by Williams, all those rear wheels can be powered)
8- Only the front wheels can steer the car.
9- Only 1 entry per participant.
10- Old builds are allowed, but copies from another user are not.
11- Max speed is 355Km/h.
Rating:
I’ll rate the entries with the following criteria:
Looks (if fictional) – Worth 15 points: How good it looks to my eyes.
Accuracy (if replica) – Worth 15 points: How close it looks to the original if it’s a replica.
Realism – Worth 15 points: How realistic it is, by not being too fast, too slow, understeering or oversteering, etc. Looks will be also factored here to an extent if it isn't a replica.
Handling - Worth 15 Points: How it drives overrall, how it feels to drive, brake, etc.
Personal Rating – Worth 5 points: How much i like your car. This will not be worth as much since it’s my views on your car.
Total: 50 points.
Rewards:
1st place: 20 Upvotes and a spotlight, if possible.
2nd place: 15 upvotes and a spotlight, if possible.
3rd place: 10 upvotes and a spolight, if possible.
4th place 5 upvotes and a spotlight, if possible.
5th place: 5 upvotes.

Inspiration:
1920s
1950s

1970s

I wish all participants good luck!

P.s: Still learning custom thumbnails.
Edit: Fixed the ratings. I added one criteria (Handling) that was in my draft for the challenged that i forgot to add here and just noticed now. I may be going insane slowly.

Makes sense
@Rocketguy2079 already have a challenge active. Maybe in the future
Could you do a new f1 challange
zamn i could have participated
@BBCP117 then you cant get pissed at someone not building what you want.
F totally forgot no mod other than overload and fine tuner are allowed
I'm too used to have limitless spin
@Mage2IsTriggered im shit at building so, i'd rather download someone elses and leave an upvote
@BBCP117 make it then
I'll be pissed off if i don't see Hunt's Hesketh or Lauda's 312B3..
@Mage2IsTriggered Ah, thanks!
@CheckOneTwo yes you can, use overload and fine tuner however you want
Can I use Overload to remove the weight of engines? I plan to make the weight accurate but the amount of engines I have (for gears) is really making it difficult @Mage2IsTriggered
@LotusCarsSub the challenge says 1920 to 1985 man.........
@Mage2IsTriggered hold on...cars past 1985 aren't allowed, then what about cars from 1989 backward???????
@Mage2IsTriggered oh, ok thx, time to go speed
@LotusCarsSub no cars past 1985 are allowed, but you can bend F1 rules, as long ad they still follow my challenge's rules.
Are 90s and 2000s cars allowed as long as it's before the 2010s and 2020s cars? If yes, i'll get my hands on this with a car that bends all da rules of each era and is as fast as a FW14B Williams (still realistic tho, as long as i have Overload used for dem tyres and getting mo powa bby, aslo it runs on V6 with just the turbo, no hybrid cus hybrid doesn't exist back then)
@Alterva yes, but it cant be seen. Id prefer if you made the downforce with wings but yeah, you can use props
Can I use propeller to make downforce
@LieutenantSOT lmao
I need to finish my build for this challenge lol
OH CRAP
@pura ah you mean loopholes in the regs kinda? Yeah, sure, go for it my guy
@Mage2IsTriggered like, have certain things that werent alowed on the year that the car is suposedly implemented
@pura wdym by "bend"?
