Description
The F-141 Maverick is the newest addition to the growing number of aircraft in the New Wright Republic Navy. It is one of the first aircraft made in the NWR to have a variable geometry "sweep wing" which can also move marginally forward for landing as shown here:
It is also the carrier of a enlarged interceptor missile, the Mk.2 which can fly faster and hit harder than the normal interceptor, basically just a bad version of the AIM-54 Phoenix.
The Maverick has two pylons over each wing, inspired by the hard point layout in the English Electric Lightning, designed to fit Guardian short range AAM and Interceptor midrange AAM.
Strangely, the aerodynamics of this aircraft are so good that even if you lose a part of the wing or all of it, you might have a chance to land back but it usually will only help you buy enough time to eject or get to safe airspace
For good measure, the Maverick can be armed with bombs or Archangel antiship missiles, the same to be used on the MNB-68 Marlin naval bomber.
