MIG-116
Introduction
The MiG-116 is a subsonic light attacker primarily developed for the Soviet Air Force by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau. It was put into service in 1961, serving in 3 countries.
some of it's variants remain in service today. It is one of the MiG-21 Family combat aircraft with more than 5.430 units built (around 3.220 MiG-116s and around 2.210 J-7s). In 1964, the Soviet Union opened the Export door for 2 countries exclusively.
The 2 Selected operators are the People Republic of China and North Korea. The MiG-116 has also been produced by China (as the Chengdu J-45). The aircraft flies during the Latest Moscow Victory day parade alongside the successor of the obsolete aircraft, Su-25.
