Supermarine Scimitar
I have been working on this little thing for almost the whole weekend, and I am proud to show this to you!
History
The Supermarine Scimitar was an early fighter jet produced in 1956 by the British Royal Navy. When it was first introduced, the Royal Navy’s aircraft carriers were still relatively small, as they were built to work with the propeller planes of World War Two. This lead to a large number of accidents during it’s early years in operation, and it was soon replaced with the Blackburn Buccaneer.
Controls
AG 1 drops the external fuel tanks.
Notes
This is not, in any way a perfect replica. This plane flies significantly slower than the real thing, and has a much shorter range. Also, I did not add any weapons to this plane, so feel free to do that. Finally, I messed up big time on the inlets, does anyone have suggestions on how to fix that?
Challenge
Can you take off and land on a carrier?

@TimeTraveler thanks!
Awesome man! Same for your delta dart!
@JawaJuice17 no problem buddy.
@EternalDarkness Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it!
Also, you just got your first follower. I'll be notified of every build you upload. Can't wait to see what you'll make next.
Now, about this plane:
It looks very nice. Given your level/experience, it's amazing. However, it could be a lot better. Here's some stuff you can try out to improve your future planes:
-Leave control surfaces exposed behind the fuselage cover of the wings. Surfaces glitching through the fuselage block don't look nice;
-Use modded parts others have uploaded. Since you are on iOS, you can't edit them yourself. Such parts include engines with increased power, stronger wings, parts that don't collide with other parts, modded weapons, etc. You can find them here. If you can't find the parts you need, feel free to ask me to make them for you. I'm always happy to support builders who put effort into their builds.
-For better flight characteristics, use larger wing surface. You can put two pairs of wings, and use transform tool to nudge them into each other.
Hi. Since you seem to be new around here, here's my copy-paste comment with some guidelines:
Welcome to the community. Read the rules here. You will gain points (the number in the square next to your username). One "Upvote" on a plane you upload brings 15 points, and an upvote on the forum post brings 2 points. Once you reach 100 points, your point field will turn bronze, at 1000 points silver, at 5000 gold, and black (we call it platinum) at 25000 points. To tag a person in the comment, put "@" in front of their username, or hit the "Reply" button on their comment (ex: @JawaJuice17). This will send notification to the person you mentioned.
Be sure to respect other users. Swearing, insulting other users, discriminating, or posting sexually suggestive material can get you banned. Users with red point boxes are moderators. If you have a problem with anyone, talk to them. If you have a problem with building, talk to one of the users whose builds you like. The more experienced they are, bigger the chance they can help you. If you have a problem with the game itself, seek users with blue point boxes. They are developers of the game, and they will take note of the problem you are having and probably fix it in the next update.
I wish you a happy stay in the SimplePlanes community, and a lot of points.
Really? Thanks!
Dang. You are going to be silver in no time.
