The Veracruz-class fast combat support ship (AOE is designation for any such vessel) is a class of seven Paternian fast combat support ships used to rearm, refuel, and restock Paternian Navy warships in the Atlantic and Pacific while underway. Owing to their speed, they are capable of effectively supporting Paternian Navy carrier task forces. While armed with only small arms and .50 caliber machine guns in peacetime, they can be fitted with a pair of Mk 15 Phalanx guns for self defense against anti-ship missiles. To my knowledge, the Veracruz-class fast combat support ship is the first ship of its kind in Simpleplanes. While any warship is capable of underway replenishment with another warship, these ships are purpose-built for them.
