Grumman F-14 Tomcat by SR
Activation 1 for afterburners (good for take-offs from Aircraft Carrier).
Activation 1 also activates the automatic swing-wing (linked to Throttle)
Activation 3 for rockets.
Activation 4 and 5 for AIM 54’s (still a prototype).
'Break' deploys the Arresting Gear and Air Breaks.
Credit to WalrusAircraft for the roundels! (Seriously easy to use).
Features:
- Variable-geometry wings.
- Fuselage provides approximately 40 to 60 percent lifting surface.
- All-moving tailerons (pitch and roll).
- Tailhook.
- Martin-Baker GRU-7A rocket-propelled ejection seats (not installed yet).
Notes:
- Afterburners will get you there fast, but depletes the fuel more quickly.
- Best flown with afterburners on and approx ~50-80% throttle.
- Slowing down will open the swing-wing (make sure activation 1 is on).
- No manual override for swing-wing (sorry).
- If you takeoff with main engines only (no afterburner) then she will smoothly rise towards the end of the runway.
- Take off with full afterburners then hang-on!!!
- After take-off, 50% power with afterburners on is my favorite - good manoeuvrability along with punchy acceleration when needed.
Enjoy

I know this is an old post, but why are there so few F-14 Tomcats on SP?

Yo con suerte tengo 14 en un avion que he hecho y es muy buenos, sin presumir. Como lo consigues???

Wow😃So cool
Make a tank war
Well, I gotta buzz the tower now don't I?
@SpiritusRaptor how are you able to keep the COT in the rear and still have the plane fly?
I have bin doing this for a year (love the plane)
Its only practice - 11 months! @221131
Y r people so much better than me at this game 😭
@maverickvii Its either of those two ways, or just getting lucky and the covering fuselage just snaps on...
@SpiritusRaptor it would be an honour if you were to take part in my butterfly challenge and my recreate challenge. You have a high chance of winning as you are such a good builder. Thanks
Hey SR, with all my playing around with the new parts I'm having trouble inbedding rotator in fuselage pieces (ie your swing wings) without them 'locking'. Are you rotating them into place, expanding fuselage over them or something else?
I'm trying to think of one that will be popular and then make a video of it... @Astron1
@SpiritusRaptor Is there a challenge you think of doing?
@WalrusAircraft Thank you :)
@SpiritusRaptor - congrats on getting into black! welcome to the dark side.
What's the vtol for and this is a great plane one of the best
Really nice dude :) KEEP it up :D
@Nicost271 Try my other Tomcat and be careful pulling it apart. There is a small wing peice which attached the rortator the body - remove the taileron by moving that.
@KevinMurphy I just notice your name change and now I know why its called Murphy Airport :) hehehe
obviously awsome plane, can you make tailerons that other people can use? that would be really cool if you could do that
This is an amazing aircraft replica. Also thanks for liking my plane.@SpiritusRaptor
I have just used your idea on the dual Hawks, more of a bosster engine (small) put inside of the larger one... This was a very good idea as I had no other place to put the booster! @WeeBabySeamus
