Mitsubishi Ki-51 'Sonia'
A Brief History
The Mitsubishi Ki-51 (dubbed ‘Sonia’ by the allies) was a light bomber/dive bomber used by the IJA during the Second World War, first taking flight in 1939. Although it wouldn’t prove to be all too successful due to its slow speed, it would show potential for the role of ground-aircraft and would especially see many successes in the China-Burma-India Theater of war.
Medium physics at minimum.
Basic Statistics
Takeoff/Stall Speed - 128kph / 70knt
Target Landing Speed - 129 - 185kph / 70 - 100knt
Top Speed (at 9,432ft) - 423kph / 229knt
Dive Speed - 595kph / 322knt
Maximum Dive Angle - 55° (DO NOT EXCEED)
Armament and Ordnance
2x 7.7mm Type 87 AMG
1x 7.7 Type 97 MG (Rear)
8x Type 2 No.6 Bombs (60kg)
2x Type 99 No.25 Bombs (200kg)
Controls
Standard Directional Controls
AG1 - Close Canopy
AG2 - Takeoff Flaps (Not entirely functional, but it's the thought that counts)
AG3 - Landing Flaps
AG4 - Airbrakes (+Automatic at 423kph)
AG5 - Unlock Tail Wheel
AG6 - Parking Brakes
AG7 - Rear Gunner + Engage gyro
AG8 - Disable Control Surfaces
Landing Gear - Arresting Hook
Trim - non. est triste ):
Camera 1 - Optical Sight (F5)
Camera 2 - Cockpit View (F6)
Camera 3 - Copilot/Rear Gunner View (F7)
Camera 4 - Gunner Sights (F8)
Do not have both flaps enabled at the same time
Landing flaps must be engaged for the arresting hook to function
Recommended to disable Control Surfaces when using the rear gun

Thanks to the people that motivated and gave me feedback on the flight performance and characteristics, they really helped me get this build spot on!

And thanks to Leehopard for the instruments! I suck at XML modding, so I wouldn't have been able to get functional gauges otherwise!
Builder's Notes
This is my first ever real replica I've put some time into, I haven't gotten the formula entirely correct with this kind of art, so I'm sorry for all the inaccuracies! I had to 'freelance' a lot of stuff since there's not too much information about this aircraft going around either, hopefully the substitutions I put in place are good enough.
A small note about the livery, I did it more for the cool factor then anything. I was more fond of the idea of putting the IJN Akagi Aircraft livery rather then an IJA one. Yes yes, I know it's not accurate at all, but hey it looks cool! Or at least I hope so.
Try to use medium physics if possible!
No I'm not having anxiety about thinking I uploaded this at a bad time, what do you mean?
Anyways, I have class in like 10 minutes so... Happy flying and have a great day you wonderful people!

Y’know, now that I think of it, I don’t think a Thursday morning was the wisest time to upload. Too late now!
Edit: and oh lord who thought it was a good idea to feature this build. Either way, thank you to whoever decided to do that, you have my endless gratitude!
@XP @TheMeatball Thanks! As for your question XP, I used ‘smooth’ for the majority of the panels. Some people, though, usually use circular corners for seamless paneling.
Noice x70! What' the fuselage corner settings you use for panel pieces, really like the paneling
@TunisianPartisaan Merci! Je suis content que tu avais aime
@PrinzEugen99 there is no way my phone is going to be able to handle it, it can barely handle 600 parts what do you think will happen at 1099?
what is snappy pls explain
Nice work bro! Looks incredibly detailed. Mobile users beware
@rexrexThezion o snap
'snappy'
@Juanhub That's never happened to me, are you on low physics? That might be the problem. If not, though, I'll look into it.
Welp the propeller snapped when i got to throttle at 100% @Lixcuudis 🇵🇭
The fitness gram pacer test is a test that will-
@russianspy DANG IT I WAS GONNA USE THAT LINE J:NDEJK:ND:ENRK-
@DilophDilophTheDumDum Thanks!
This is extreeeeemely good for a 3k point user!
Damn Son Where'd ya make this
Wow
