ME 341 Nacht Gewehr
A Night fighter made in germany during WW2. Relatively slow, not very fuel eficient due to its 4 engine configuration and not agile. AG1 to drop rocket pods after usage.
Backstory: In 1944, Germany decided to combine aircraft and radar to take to the skies at night time. The project was called "Nacht Gewerh" and the winner was Messerschmit. The first producion model of this aircraft was launched in 1946, just when germany started losing the war due to British atacks everywhere there were germans. The plane then became a bomber interceptor, but that was short lived so it was turned into a multirole night strike aircraft. It stopped production in 1948, 1 year before the end of the war. During its life cycle, it was groundbreaking, being the first nightfighter that did not need a second operator to control the radar.
P.s: i hope i wrote all words in germsn correctly.
