@hypnotoad I find it hard to start my own planes so I often choose a good base/idea and go nuts. As for the inlet thing - it just hurts so much to add drag points! One way to settle this anyway. I'll do a test and add inlets to this plane. See what happens.

@ahappyape right, I have now had a really good go with this. And I really, can't find fault. I find this a total joy to fly, and the addition of yaw control really offers some fine control in a roll. I am staggered as to how much of a stamp you put on this, if I could I would make planes as you redesign mine!! Only reason I could guess at what you see as loss of speed (again I'm sorry, it is not a criticism) is inlets. If you fly the origional, look at the colour of the jet flame, then compare to yours. I hate myself for saying that again as it seem s like I'm just saying it as I don't know the answer, that's really not what I'm getting at, your design and build is always staggering. See what you think sir.

@hypnotoad. Not happy with this variant - even before adding the VTOL engine - I'm down 500mph 2100 is about it now. I have added the VTOL for trimming mainly - as it changes a lot as the plane gets faster - and balancing this thing is so hard anyway! So anyway - can you see what's loosing me the speed?
